BOHN NAMED FPHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY

Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Binghamton Black Bears defenseman Dakota Bohn has been named the Rookie of the Month for January.


Bohn played in 11 games for the Black Bears and had 6 goals, 12 assists for 18 points for the month. He started 2025 and the month of January (3rd) with his best game scoring 2 goals along with 2 assists for 4 points against Port Huron. He followed up the next night against the Prowlers with 2 assists. He also had two 3 point games, one on January 19th against the HC Venom and closing out the month (1/31) with the other 3 point game versus the Columbus River Dragons. Dakota’s 18 points in January moved him from 11 to fourth in league scoring.


The 26-year-old is from Sagninaw, Michigan. Dakota was a member of the Black Bears’ 2024 FPHL Commissioner’s Cup team and was also voted the FPHL Defenseman of the Year (2023-24). Prior to joining the Black Bears he played at Adrian College (2019-23). During his senior year at Adrian he was named an All American and had the highest point total (47) for a Defenseman (2023-24).


The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
