Jackals Fan Favorite Returning to Elmira

Elmira, NY - The Elmira Enforcers are pleased to announce the signing of a Jackals fan favorite, as Frank Littlejohn is making his return to the First Arena. 

Littlejohn, 42, is a native of Oshawa, ON and has 16 years of experience that spans 23 different teams ranging from the WPHL to the AHL over the course of his career. In addition to his veteran presence in the locker room, Littlejohn offers a familiarity with First Arena and Elmira itself, having previously played two stints with the Jackals. During his time in the UHL, he also played for longtime rivals of the Jackals, the Adirondack IceHawks and Frostbite, Missouri River Otters, and Quad City Mallards. 

Littlejohn's last full season of professional hockey came in 2008-09 when he played for the Muskegon Lumberjacks and Flint Generals of the IHL, tallying 46 points and 245 penalty minutes. He has continued to play throughout the years, including two stints in the FHL with the 1000 Islands Privateers in 2011-12 and last year with the Port Huron Prowlers.

When asked about coming back, Littlejohn was quick to praise the city: “Always a pleasure to come back to Elmira. People love their hockey there and they treat you really well. My wife and kids stop by to say hi to everyone we have kept in touch with whenever we come through there. It makes it a little sweeter to come back against the team I played for just last season. I am coming in to contribute and help the team achieve points. This isn’t a vacation to me; I am coming in to help the team win.” 

Littlejohn has always made an impact wherever he has played, and his community presence is felt to this day in Elmira. Team Owner Robbie Nichols commented: “Fans are familiar with Frankie. He’s an exciting, electrifying player to watch. This will be a weekend of games you won’t want to miss, so make sure you get your tickets early.”
