Motor City Rockers Announce Bold Vision for the Future, Strengthening the Brand,
Fan Experience, and Hockey Operations

Fraser, MI – The Motor City Rockers are thrilled to announce a bold new era for the franchise under the leadership of Ken Andrews, who is taking the reins as the new owner of the team. Andrews brings a wealth of experience and a passion for hockey that aligns perfectly with the Rockers' commitment to excellence and community engagement.

Andrews and the Rockers' front office have heard the fans loud and clear. They saw the concerns and worries shared online, and they listened. Taking a step back, the new ownership is dedicated to bringing the Rockers back to their roots—staying true to the identity and passion that fans know and love. There will be no changes to the team’s branding, logos, or colors, ensuring the Rockers’ spirit stays strong.

“The first and most important message we want to send is simple: we are all-in on the Rockers,” said Andrews. “This is the best brand in the league, and it aligns with our hometown better than any other team in the FPHL. The Rockers have a legacy, a foundation built on passion and dedication, and we are here to grow it, build upon it, and make it stronger than ever.”

FPHL Commissioner Don Kirnan stated, “Its great to have a group stepping up to strengthen their organization which adds to the stability off our league going into the future.  The Motor City Rockers have been a great market that we know can be better and can potentially have a long tenure in the FPHL.  We look forward to seeing their devolopement of players, staff and fan experience in the FPHL."

As the first step in this exciting evolution, the Rockers are proud to announce the return of Nick Field to oversee all player transactions and roster management. Field has been instrumental in the team’s success over the past two seasons, and his leadership will be key in keeping the Rockers competitive and exciting for fans.

“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to come back and work with the Rockers,” said Field. “I’m looking forward to helping the team have success and build a consistent winning organization.”

Andrews expressed his confidence in Field’s leadership and his ability to elevate the team’s performance.

“When I realized there was an opportunity to guide the Rockers to a better future, one name stood out above the rest—Nick Field,” Andrews said. “Nick was instrumental in the original formation of the Rockers, and without his vision, this team wouldn’t be here today. With his experience, leadership, and passion for the game, I have full confidence that team morale and the quality of our hockey product will rise significantly.”

Field is committed to making an immediate impact and ensuring the team stays focused on the road ahead.

“I’m not looking at this as a lost season—the season is only about half over,” Field added. “We will do our best to get the most out of our group and make any changes needed that make sense for the team. Our goal is to grow and evolve as a team and continue an upward trajectory towards making the playoffs, while playing our best hockey of the season at that time.”

Beyond hockey operations, Andrews is also focused on enhancing the fan experience at Big Boy Arena. Planned improvements will make Rockers games more engaging and fun for everyone, while also introducing quality-of-life upgrades for players to ensure they have the resources needed to perform at their best.

“Our goal is simple,” said Andrews. “We want to make Big Boy Arena and Motor City Rockers games a premier family entertainment destination—a place where fans of all ages can enjoy great hockey and unforgettable experiences.”

As the Rockers push toward the playoffs, one crucial factor remains—you, the fans.

“Most importantly, we need your energy and passion in the arena,” said Andrews. “Our boys are fighting for a playoff spot, and they need you behind them. Let’s pack Big Boy Arena and show the league what Rockers hockey is all about!”

The Rockers are excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share this journey with the passionate fans who make this team special. Stay tuned for more updates, and we’ll see you at Big Boy Arena!
