PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS & FINES FOR 1/24/25

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.
Baton Rouge Zydeco Shahin, SUSPENDED
Baton Rouge forward Aaron Shahin has been suspended for One Game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 210 in Topeka, KS on Friday, January 24th. FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "Mr. Shahin dropped his gloves and delivered approx 8-9 punches at the head of an unwilling opponent. This is an aggressor penalty. Mr. Shahin is suspended for ONE (1) GAME."
Baton Rouge Zydeco Namiki, SUSPENDED
Baton Rouge defensman Ryo Namiki has been suspended for One Game as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 210 in Topeka, KS on Friday, January 24th. FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "Mr. Namiki speared his opponent in the groin as he was headed to the front of the net. The degree of severity is irrelevant as we have an automatic Match penalty for any deliberate contact to the groin with the tip of the stick blade. Mr. Namaki is suspended for ONE (1) GAME."
Baton Rouge Zydeco Head Coach, Thompson Fined
Baton Rouge Head Coach Everett Thompson has been Fined an undisclosed amount as a result from his unsportsmanlike actions towards the officials during FPHL Game No. 210 in Topeka, KS on Friday, January 24th.
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
