PLAYER SAFETY ANNOUNCES SUSPENSIONS FOR 10/25/24

From The FPHL Department of Player Safety

Binghamton, NY – The FPHL Department of Player Safety today have announced the following suspensions.

Hudson Valley Venom Chevers,  SUSPENDED
Hudson Valley forward Quin Chevers has been suspended for Two Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 25 in Newburgh, NY on Friday, October 25th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated,  "Mr. Chevers scored a deciding goal and skated past the opposing bench making lewd gestures towards the opposing teams bench. This is unacceptable and so far beneath the bar we have set for behavior and integrity in the FPHL.  Mr. Chevers becomes a first-time offender and is suspended for TWO(2) GAMES."

Carolina Thunderbirds Schnapp,  SUSPENDED
Carolina forward Jacob Schnapp has been suspended for Two Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 23 in Wytheville, VA on Friday, October 25th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "Because there is no provision for a major and GM for spearing, we allow very wide latitude for the officials to assess either 4 minutes or a Match penalty. If it falls into the category of being too severe for a double-minor, the referee shall assess a match penalty. Mr. Schnapp was frustrated after his opponents scored so he decided to spear his opponent for absolutely no reason with 10 seconds remaining in the game. This is unacceptable and Match penalties without injury start at TWO (2) Game Suspensions."

Mississippi Sea Wolves Eha,  SUSPENDED
Mississippi forward Carter Eha has been suspended for Four Games as a result from his actions during FPHL Game No. 20 in Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, October 26th.  FPHL Director of Player Safety Dave Jackson stated, "This was a very late, predatory hit on an unsuspecting player who was not eligible to be hit. Injury resulted from this play. Consistent with past rulings for a first offender, Mr. Eha will be suspended for FOUR (4) Games."

The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
