ROSENZWEIG NAMED FPHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY
Binghamton, NY – The Federal Prospect Hockey League announced today that Athens Rock Lobsters goaltender Josh Rosenzweig has been selected the Goaltender of the Month for January.
Rosenzweig played in 7 games during the month and recorded a 5-2-0-0 record. His statistics were 14 goals against for a GAA of 2.31, with 159 saves for a .919 SV%. Josh also picked up a shutout in the month which turned out to be his best game. The shutout game was a shootout win against the Columbus River Dragons on January 25th and it was his first professional shutout.
The 21-year-old is from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He played for the Niagara Icedogs (OHL) from 2019-23. Playing for the Icedogs he set two franchise records, OHL most saves in a game (61) and OHL most points by a goaltender in a season with 11 assists. Josh started his professional career last season (2023-24) with the Watertown Wolves.
The FPHL is a Single-A Minor Professional hockey league operating in its 15th season during 2024-25.
